In these days, natural pure air is nearly impossible to get (unless you’re living in one of remote mountains, that is). This of course is a sad fact, while The Asthma and Allergy Foundation of America estimates that 50 million Americans suffer from all types of allergies (that is, 1 in 5 Americans!) And that is why if you are now looking to buy an air purifier to protect and improve the living quality of yourself, your family and your loved ones, I would say congratulations! It is a wise step indeed.
We all know that nothing is 100% perfect in this world, but at least, I can share with you that there is, actually, an air purifier that is attested to be the most efficient, reliable, flexible and cost effective solution by a highly reliable institution. It was, indeed, chosen by the Hong Kong Government Hospitals for use in the SARS patient rooms and it’s called Iqair Air Purifier.
Although the design looks nice and modern enough, it is still a big piece of sour eye candy that looms over a room like an out of place coffee table. The HealthPro series might be a little large for some rooms — all the models are about the size of a mini-fridge. Even the HealthPro Compact unit takes up a good deal of space. Designed for residential use, the HealthPro series of room air purifiers have a modular tower design and are available in several models including the HealthPro, the HealthPro Compact and the HealthPro Plus.
The efficiency tests quickly verified that most of the systems fell well short of the removing airborne particulates with an actual efficiency in excess or 99.97% for particles of 0.3um and larger. With it’s certified and independently type-tested filtration efficiency IQAir passed this test.
Six fan speeds are featured on every model in the series, which allows the user to choose the ideal performance level desired. Also included with each system is a remote control, a Programmable Control Panel and an Intelligent Filter Life Monitor. I really like the IQAir control panel because it gives you simple, accurate information about what the unit is doing while making it easy for you to control its operation. The LCD display tells you the cubic feet per minute (CFM) of air being drawn through the machine, and an LED light reminds you when to change the filter.
