Wristbands are useful for things that we cannot expect. It is used by hospitals, police officials etc. An incident happened where in four people died in a road accident. In order to make road’s safe, the police officials introduced Cherry red wristbands with the slogan �say no to risk�. By wearing such wristbands people of all ages will remember this message and will act responsibly. People will also remember that they must look before they cross, not run across the road, and use pedestrian crossings where they are available. This wristband will be useful for drivers and passengers because they will remember to wear seatbelt, so that they do not meet with an accident.
In many schools, wristbands are gaining importance. In order to reduce anti-bullying, many schools celebrated anti-bullying week. In schools, students were asked to wear blue wristbands so that they show support for the campaign with the anti-bullying slogan written on them. This was done so that teachers can tell children that even if someone is different from them, it doesn’t mean you should treat them differently.
Wristbands were distributed in Winchester district at Halloween night to prevent from danger. Fire fighters distributed glow in the dark wristbands with the logo �give respect-get respect’. These wristbands were distributed among people to make them remember not to fight and have fun. Certain things may be funny to one group but could be distressing to other group.
Wristbands can be used for patient safety also. Many hospitals and surgical centers in Pennsylvania are using color wristbands for patients with conditions such as allergies. Under the new rainbow system, five colors are used for specific medical conditions: Purple means do not resuscitate; Pink means restricted extremity; green denotes latex allergy; and yellow is fall risk. Most of the hospitals in Pennsylvania will use uniform wristband colors for allergy purpose.
Wristbands can be used to reunite children with their parents. If young children get lost during Christmas shopping, they can be reunited with their parents if they follow a scheme involved with rubber bracelets. Fluorescent bands are best suited for this purpose. Emergency contact numbers will be written on them. Fluorescent bands will be placed around child’s wrist and only their contact number will be written and not their address, so if they get lost police officials can reunite them with their family. These bands are a great idea and can ease the mind of parents while they do their shopping.
