Seca Bathroom Scales Reviews

Three Seca Bathroom scales reviews analysing the pros and cons of some of the best Seca bathroom scales.

Seca Scales has been in the business of creating precise and accurate scales for over 170 years. Seca products are counted among the best bathroom scales in the industry. Below is an assessment of three of the best bathroom scales that Seca has to offer:

Seca Aurea 795

Pros: A truly elegant bathroom scale, it’s hard to get more high-class than this. The Seca Aurea has a gold-plated body, made of genuine 24-carat gold. It also sports a luxurious stepping platform made from authentic white leather, resulting in a bathroom scale that will make the rest of your bathroom bow down to its new master.

Cons: Because it’s an analog bathroom scale, the Seca Aurea 795 does not have any of the features that digital scales are imbued with; it can’t remember data, or compute your BMI or metabolic rate. It’s also very expensive, although you’ve probably guessed that already.

Verdict: Unless you’re made out of money, the Seca Aurea 795 is probably too high-end for private home use; might be a good addition to an expensive hotel bathroom, or a classy gym with a high-end clientele.

Seca 803 Clara

Pros: A digital bathroom scale with a great minimalist design, and a roomy tread area that has lots of space for your feet. Its stepping platform, with its black anti-slip rubber surface, is a great safety feature. Its digital LCD makes reading weight easier compared to analog dials.

Cons: It lacks the fancy features that come with more expensive digital bathroom scales, like measuring body fat percentage or computing body mass index. You also cannot input data or store values.

Verdict: A no-nonsense digital bathroom, which is designed to measure your weight accurately, and it does just that. If you don’t really care about extra features that you’ll probably rarely use, the Seca 803 Clara is a perfect fit for you.

Seca Supra 719

Pros: The Seca Supra has a raised display that makes it easy to read your weight. It also has a great, elegant design, which makes it look like it would be more at home in an art gallery than in a bathroom. It boasts very accurate measurement up to one tenth of a kilo.

Cons: It might be too pricey for people who just want a simple bathroom scale. The long column elevating the display might also get in the way, so if you want a scale that you can simply sweep in and out from under the table with ease, you might not enjoy the Seca Supra 719.

Verdict: The Seca Supra is an elegant machine that is perfect for folks who can appreciate stylish design. For people who just want something simple, there are cheaper alternatives.
